Meet Chris

Former Head of Maths | GCSE & A Level Specialist

Helping students build confidence, develop understanding and achieve their full potential.

My Story

For many years, I had the privilege of teaching mathematics in secondary schools, eventually becoming Head of Maths. During that time, I worked with hundreds of students of all abilities—from those who lacked confidence and simply wanted to pass GCSE Maths, to high-achieving students aiming for the very top grades at GCSE and A Level.

One thing became increasingly clear: every student learns differently.

In a classroom, teachers often have to move at a pace that suits the whole class. Private tuition provides the opportunity to slow down, identify misconceptions, answer every question and build genuine understanding.

That's why I founded Apples Maths.

My goal is simple: to help students enjoy mathematics more, believe in their own ability and achieve results they can be proud of.
